The Hollywood golden couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have signed documents to pave the way for a legal separation, and arranged custody of her six children, the Sunday Times of London reported on Sunday.

The couple known as Brangelina, have been together since the filming of the thriller Mr. and Mrs. Smith five years ago.

The papers say they have agreed that the children will live with Jolie.

The couple is not married – have said they would marry only when American gays were also able to marry.

Still, the documents were presented to a lawyer in Los Angeles earlier this month to help with separation.
