I am working on a post detailing all the profession and economy changes with patch 3.3.3 but I wanted to inform you guys of this change right away so you can pick up cheap Frozen Orbs before others buy them. [1]

Well, this is a welcome change — now that Frozen Orbs are going to be the new crafting tokens, exchangeable for Frost Lotus and Eternal Fire, among other things, Wryxian announced that they will be greed only in the upcoming patch. [2]

Eternals will cost 1x Orb each, Runed Orbs are 4x Frozen Orbs and Crusader Orbs are 6x Frozen Orbs. [3]

But the good news is that in patch 3.3.3 this won’t be the case anymore — the roll for Frozen Orbs will be an automatic Greed roll. [...] Plus, we included the new Frozen Orb vendor in the gallery for you to drool at things you can do with all of those spare orbs from your daily rampaging of Northrend instances. [2]

Many coveted crafting components are being added to a new vendor in Dalaran, who will now sell all eternals, Runed Orbs, Crusader Orbs and possibly Frost Lotus (this one could be a bug). [...] I take this move as a clear indication that Blizzard wants everyone to experience maximum raid content before Cataclysm rolls out and they are prepared to facilitate that process. [3]

Two of the items on this list stand out to me, Frost Lotus currently sell for around 55g but that price will go down on Tuesday because of the increased drop rate. [1]
