Rhode Island has received notification that the federal unemployment insurance extended benefit program known as Emergency Unemployment Compensation (EUC) has been extended through April 5, 2010. [1]

The state’s unemployment insurance program has established a special toll-free telephone number for you to use in filing a new claim or reopening an established claim. [2]

There is no compulsory national unemployment insurance fund, rather, benefits are provided for in the annual Federal Budget by the National Treasury and are administrated and distributed throughout the nation by Centrelink. [3]
